Connie Weatherford Puckett LACENTER Con- nie Jean Weatherford Puckett, age 71 of LaCenter, formerly of Clinton, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Life Care Center of LaCenter She is sur- vived by her daughter, Jennifer (Kent) Howle of Kevil, 3 grandsons, Kameron Howle, Jacob Howle and Dustin Howle who she referred to as her Motley Crue, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funer- al services were held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton. Rev. Tim Escue officiated.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time. Barbra Green Barbra G. Green, 76, of Kevil, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Barbra will be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time. Barbra is survived by three children, Brandon Walls, Edmund (Monica) Malone, and Michelle McVaigh; two brothers, Johnny Cunningham and Bill Cunningham; and seven grandchildren.

Angela Nicole Carson BARDWELL Angela Nicole Smith Carson, age 33 of Bardwell, formerly of Clinton, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton. Karen Denice Griffin COLUMBUS Karen Denice of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, Tennessee. Karen is survived by her three sisters, Wilma Simmons, Toni Griffin, and Lawanda Griffin all of Columbus; and one brother, Reginald Farm- er of Erie, PA. A funeral service will be held at Mt.

Gilead Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 with Bro. Derrick Fitts and Bro. Tony Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Columbus Cemetery.

John Howard Roper CLINTON John Howard Roper, age 67 of Clinton, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at his residence. He is survived by his son, John David Roper of Cleveland, TN, grand- son, Jacob Roper of Cleveland, TN, 3 great grandchildren, sister, Mary Watson of Colum- bus, 2 nephews, 1 great nephew and 1 great niece.

Funeral services for John were held Monday, January 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton. Rev. David Dixon officiated. Burial followed in the Zion Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years Joe McWhorter of Clinton; daughter, Jamie(Brandon) Terry of Clinton; 2 grandsons, Derek and Jared Terry both of Clinton; 8 Sisters, Mary Frances (Donald) McEachern, Emily Regi- na (Larry deceased) Iser, Paula Sue (Donald) Goodman, Elizabeth Gail Gutschmidt, Clara Ann (Mitchell) Laneave, Patricia Catherine (David) Hagen and Twins Annette Marie (Mike) Baumgartner and Janette Martha (Mark) Stahr; 3 Brothers, Herbert Joseph (Lucy) Carter, Melvin Elisha (Wanda) Carter, and Raymond Edward (Chris) Carter. Roy Yates Jerrell Jr. Reverend Roy Yates Jerrell, 95, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2021, in Gainesville, FL.

Roy was born on Febru- ary 2, 1926, in Oscar, Ballard County, Ken- tucky to the late Thelma T. (Gregory) Jerrell and Roy Yates Jerrell, Sr. Roy graduated from high school in Cairo, Illinois in 1944 and immediately entered the U.S. Army Air Corp. where he served as a Belly Gunner on a B-24 bomber during World War II.

He began his ministry in 1947 and served as lead pastor at six churches across the nation (Texas, Washington, Kentucky, and Florida). His last pas- torate was at North- west Baptist Church in Gainesville, Florida beginning in 1986 where he served for ten and a half years. He retired as Pastor Emeritus. Since retiring from full-time ministry in 1996, he served 14 churches as an in- terim pastor. He served the Lord for 71 years as a minister with 49 of those as a pastor.

Roy graduated with a BA from Shurtleff College in Alton, Illi- nois in 1950. He also graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Semi- nary with a Bachelor of Divinity, a Master of Religious Educa- tion, and a Master of Divinity. In 1980 he received the honor of a Doctor of Ministry de- gree from Southwest Bap- tist University in Bolivar, Mis- souri where he also served on the Board of Trustees. He was preceded in death by his first wife Renabelle Elizabeth (Allison) Jerrell in 1997. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Iris (Anderson) Jerrell of Gainesville, his three sons, Dr.

Mary, or from where your experi- ences with her interacted, led a full and God faith life.

Teresine was wed in 1947 to her true soul mate, Lloyd Thomp- son. Teresine and Tud settled in the rural area of Carlisle County and raised a family of seven, working the farm and in public work. Teresine, after being widowed at 44 years of age, contin- ued to instill in her children the basics of hard work and faith in God. She was blessed with a faith filled community at St. Charles Catholic Church in Bardwell and many friends from her public work at the Kentucky State Road Department.

Teresine is sur- vived by her three sons, Michael (Denise) Thompson of the St. Charles Com- munity, Freddie (Susie) Thompson of Fancy Farm and Lyn- dal Thompson of the St. Charles Commu- nity; two daughters, Jane (Steve) Draper of Milburn and Julie Duncan of Humboldt, Tennessee; brothers Leo (Willene) Thomas and Bobby Gene Thomas, both of Fancy Farm; one sis- ter, Annette Woods of Louisville; 23 grand- children, 51 great- grandchildren and several nieces of nephews. She was pre- ceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd Thomp- son; sons, Tommy Thompson, Paul Thomp- son and Lloyd Ignatius Thompson, also, her beloved parents, Connie and Katie (Carrico) Thomas; brother, Bernard Thomas; and sisters, Aline Courtney, Mar- garet Thomas (Tot), Mary Willie Thomas and Francis Ann Thomas. Mr.

Graves was born on June 23, 1930 to the late Joseph and Jessie Mae Wilson Graves. He proudly served his coun- try in the United States Army from 1948-1952 in the Seventh Infantry Divi- sion. He was stationed in Japan from 1948-1950 and went on to serve in Korea from 1950 to 1951. Mr. Graves was a ham radio enthusiast.

He loved play- ing the guitar and garden- ing. In the past, Mr. Graves also enjoyed rid- ing his motorcycle and even flying airplanes. Most of all he loved his family and will be greatly missed. Those preceding him in death include a great grandson, Beau Ryan Doss; a brother, George Vester Poe, foster mother, Emma Hunt, in addition to his parents.

Those he lovingly leaves behind include his loving wife to whom he married on September 10, 1952, Mrs. Mary Graves of Mur- ray; sons, Joseph Graves, Jr. and wife, Heather of Rives, TN, Jeff Graves and wife Tammy, of Puryear, TN; daughters, Debra Doss and husband Terry of Murray, Tracey Mowery and husband Mitch, of Murray; grand- children, Troy Doss and wife Daysha of Murray, Adam Doss of Murray, Holly Wade and husband Kyle, of Murray, Jake William Graves and wife, Katie of Memphis, Mack- ensie Graves and fiance, Blake Vacca of Murray, Jaxon Moran, Dylan Moran of Rives, TN, Julie McCall and husband, Brandon Smith of Nashville, Miguel and Marisela Sanchez of Rives, TN; great grand- children, Ryann Doss, Lainey Doss, Emma Grace Graves, Andrew Graves, Sunny Smith, Beck Smith.
