com James Richard McCaffery MISHAWAKA James Richard McCaffery, of Mishawaka, husband to Agnes Juliann McCaffery Bauters), died on Friday, March 18, 2022, leaving behind a loving family who will miss him dearly, but who trust ultimately in the promise of resurrection. Jim was a United States Army veteran. Originally of Chicago, Illinois, and born on February 8, 1928, Jim was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard McCaffery, and the brother of Jean Deskovich, who all predeceased him.

In addition to his loving widow, Agnes, Jim leaves behind three children and their spouses: Timothy (Amy), Patrick (Cheryl), and MaryAnn Middlestadt (Monte); seven grandchildren: Patrick Brandon, Leslee (Jim), Kyle, Katherine, Merisa, Nicole, and Erich; two great-grandchildren: Layla and Audrey; and countless extended family members and friends whose lives he inspired through his gentleness and charity.
