In this new leadership role for Dove House, Falconer leads the clinical services under the guidelines of Trauma Informed Care and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). She oversees the clinical team in Marion County and Dubois County and continuously works to enhance the evidence- based curriculum for the highly successful program. unique background and extensive experience in the mental and behavioral health space is a tremendous asset to Dove said Dove House CEO Wendy Noe. is the ideal person to take on the Chief Clinical Officer role and continue to elevate Dove high-quality clinical Before joining the Dove House team, Falconer was the Behavioral Health Director for Marine Corps Community Services.

During her six years with Marine Corps Community Services, she had clinical and administrative oversight of all behavioral health programs, from family advocacy to substance abuse. Prior to this, Falconer served as the Vice President of Mental Health Systems, Inc. day at Dove House, I get to bear witness to the strength of the women who live and work said Falconer. Mayor candid answers to the Huntingburg Press-Jasper News Journal questionnaire seemed to display genuine concern for the health and safety of the residents of the community as well as for the continued economic growth of Huntingburg. For the last 2 years and 4 months, Mayor Schwinghamer has used his wealth of knowledge to make improvements that he felt were crucial for the majority of the residents living or working in Huntingburg. Mayor Schwinghamer stated that he had never been involved in politics, so, he really know what to expect when he first entered office Mayor Schwinghamer had to rely on his business expertise in the funeral home industry and the knowledge he acquired as the VP of sales and marketing for the United States and Canada startup casket company to help him with his initial endeavors. From the beginning, Mayor Schwinghamer has felt that running the city was like managing a big business and that decisions could not be based on wanting to acquire votes and popularity but must be based on the betterment of the city its citizens and the businesses who have invested in past present and future success However Mayor Schwinghamer had to get acclimated to a whole new form of management, therefore he felt it was pertinent to expand the BPWS ion order from 3 to 5 members to ensure a better representation that could better serve the needs of the city. Mayor Schwinghamer feels that infrastructure and maintenance issues must take top priority, therefore, he made a new wastewater planthis first order of business.

This required much time and effort to get off the ground The construction of a new $22 million dollar wastewater plant was urgently needed and will be completed this year. Mayor Schwinghamer believes this new facility will allow the city to continue to provide optimum service to citizens well into the future. Money was also appropriated for new sidewalks and curbs as well as maintenance on existing sidewalks to ensure safe access for pedestrians and cyclists. Mayor Schwinghammers second priority after assuming office was to help create areas for recreation so that everyone can enjoy a better quality of life. Shortly after attaining office, Mayor Schwinghamer heard from several of the downtown merchants how lack of parking was causing a financial strain on their ability to earn a living Tourists, as well as locals, were discouraged and were going other places to shop and dine out.

Mayor plan of action entailed figuring out a way to create additional parking. With the help and cooperation of many, Mayor Schwinghamer is now happy to point out that property was purchased by the city and 60 more parking spaces have been added behind City Hall and 13 more spaces are located behind the Gaslight are plans for additional parking as well as a ally activation program that will create better connectivity for Memorial Gym guests to enjoy downtown 4th St. and Market St before or after games. A major renovation of the Huntingburg League Stadium was also necessary for the safety of the many guests that attend the ballgames there. Mayor Schwinghamer stated that tourist attraction keeps gaining popularity every year.

He stated that he is currently working with the city of Jasper and the Spirit of Jasper train that will enable visitors to enjoy a old-fashioned train ride to the stadium and a wholesome baseball game. In order to keep youth occupied in wholesome activities, new youth baseball and softball fields were constructed at the Huntingburg City Park. The construction and completion of a new playground at Northside Park was another goal that Mayor Schwinghamer felt would keep youth occupied in wholesome activities. Mayor Schwinghamer is also very excited about the Market St. Phase II project that opened on Friday, March 31st, 2023.

A new shelter house, bathrooms, picnic areas, sitting areas as well as a fire pit was constructed for guests to use as they enjoy the Market Street activities. A dock was also constructed at the beautiful Huntingburg City Lake so that guests could do some small boating and kayak launching Mayor Schwinghamer alluded to a future project that the Mayor Youth Council is involved in. He stated that a large piece of property was given to the city. The Mayor Youth Council will help with the plans and development of this land into something the community can be proud of and be used by all. Mayor Schwinghamer stated that he really wants families to stay in the area and their offspring to bring their skills and talents to the town, which he feels will help with future growth and development of Huntingburg.

Mayor Schwinghamer also included Senior citizens in the citys future plans. He stated that these hard working retired individuals have not been forgotten and that their request for a new Senior Citizen building is now in the planning stages. Mayor Schwinghamer stated that a building was purchased last year that will be turned into a recreational facility for seniors to congregate together to enjoy card playing and other social activities Mayor Schwinghamer stated that he is also passionate about the Latino Community and was excited to see how successful the Latino Culture Fest on Market Street was this year. To sum up Mayor aspirations for the city, he plans to continue balancing the quality of life items with the upkeep and maintenance infrastructure needs of the city. Mayor Schwinghamer knows that some decisions will make people upset, so he carefully considers all factors before making final decisions.

He stated that it is frustrating at times and hard to juggle the money so that it is appropriated in the right direction, but he is fully committed to these goals. Just as in the movie, The Founder, Mayor Schwinghamer is following the advice of previous Mayors and really appreciates feedback from the community. He said he have his own agenda but that he simply wants to serve the public. Mayor Schwinghamer stated that he is very grateful and proud to work together with his staff, city employees and the BPWS ion order and the city council. He emphatically stated this team gets things done, despite the many ups and downs.

Mayor Schwinghamer stated that his associates always try to have a positive mindset while working towards goals that they feel are best for the city as a whole. With this type of support, Mayor Schwinghamer feels that Huntingburg will to continue to prosper and grow and be the Like No which everyone is proud to call home.
