The American Heart Association is making CPR training more accessible by offering blended learn- ing, an online training tool! The American Heart Association now offers blended learning CPR courses that feature online CPR courses followed by an on-site skills evaluation. To do online courses, go to www.elearning. heart.org and find the course you need. Once the online portion is complete, print the certificate, then call Memorial Health and Wellness staff at 812-996-2399 (option 1) to schedule a skills evaluation to complete your certi- fication.

Skills evalu- ations are scheduled and offered for Heart- BLS, Heartsav- CPR with AED, and First Aid CPR with AED. Cost for the skills eval- uation portion is $45 plus a $15 eCard fee. Note: A short video segment is required. Class time could take 45 90 minutes. Joseph T.

Washington Street, Huntingburg, IN. Glenn Ebert Glenn Ebert, 58, of Indianapolis passed away August 2, 2023 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 10, in St. Ferdinand Church, burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 until service time at the church.

Moseley, 77, of Rockport, IN, passed away on July 27, 2023, surrounded by his family. Services were held August 4, 2023, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial was at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Tamra Lee Gerdom Tamra Lee Gerdom, 58, of Rockport, passed away on August 2, 2023, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Shiloh Church, 3625 Eureka Rockport.

Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana has been entrusted with care. Amos Philmore Hemmerlein Amos Philmore Hemmerlein, 85, of Jasper, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Good Samaritan Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana. Amos was born in Jasper, Indiana, on May 5, 1938, to the late Jacob and Mary (Thimling) Hem- merlein. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, farmed the Hemmerlein family farm, and was a construction worker with the Union. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, hunting mushrooms, travel, and spending time with family.

Radus Glen Hembree Radus Glen Hembree, 97, of Loo- gootee, passed away at 10:01 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023, in The Timbers of Jasper nursing facility. He was born on December 20, 1925, to Robert Glen and Margaret Mary (Altkofer) Hembree on the family farm in Rutherford Township, Martin County. He married Juan- ita Eldena Popp on June 30, 1953, and she survives. A 1944 graduate of Loogootee High School, he was a lifelong farmer except for his 1951- 1953 service time in the U.S.

Army during the Korean War, spending 13 months in Korea with the 45th Infantry Division, attaining the rank of corporal. Kenneth L. Striegel Kenneth L. Striegel, 84, of Me- dora, formerly of Jasper, passed away at 9:41 p.m. on Thurs- day, August 3, 2023, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana.

Kenneth was born in Ce- lestine on October 8, 1938, to Oscar J. and Anna M. (Knies) Striegel. He married Carol Jean Lueken on August 1, 1964, in St. Joseph Catho- lic Church in Jasper.

She preceded him in death on October 28, 2012. He was a 1956 graduate of Jasper High School and was a U.S. Army veteran who served as a military policeman. You can make a difference in your community by volun- teering at this Heartland Half Mar- athon. It takes many individuals to hold the Heartland Half Marathon events, and it be possi- ble without the time and generosity of each volunteer. The 11th annual Heartland Half Mara- thon is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2023, in Ferdinand, Indiana.
